Ending Violence and Abuse
Did you know 3.4 million people over the age of 18 are victims of stalking each year in America?
Kathy and her family were among those 3.4 million people. “We didn’t know who this person was,” she said. “We didn’t know if it was a man or a woman, how they found us, or even what they were capable of.”
Your gift to Sioux Empire United Way provides victims of stalking, domestic violence and sexual assault with free services through The Compass Center, which addresses the emotional, psychological and physical effects of this abuse. Last year, 504 individuals were helped and 70 percent reached their therapeutic goals.
