Make Your Mark on the Sioux Empire. Live United. Sioux Empire United Way.

Message from Campaign Chair

One of the great things about being Campaign Chair is the opportunity to be surrounded by bright, energetic volunteers who are passionate about the Sioux Empire United Way. At this week’s Campaign Cabinet meeting, I was so impressed with the level of dedication and enthusiasm. Our leadership team is on top of every detail and optimistic about the results. “Active,” “Upbeat” and “Frequent” were the watchwords of the day.

During the course of the reports, we heard stories of companies who—despite challenging economic times—are having solid campaign results. How? By focusing on the fun that can come out of a well-organized rally. Fun-loving and focused volunteers are achieving real success this year. The other key to our success will be how well we identify companies that have not historically given but who can be convinced to step up. We heard some real success stories on that topic as well.

All in all, this year’s campaign is off to a solid start. But as we all know, we will be remembered by how we finish…not how we start. There are thousands of people who are counting on our efforts. Hungry kids, abuse victims, the homeless, young kids who need books…these and many more are depending on us. Thanks for all you are doing to improve lives and keep the Sioux Empire a great place to live!
